Today after discussing my project idea with several people, I concluded that there is an important feature that I must add to the algorithm, It is very important to let the object know the direction of the track so that it doesn't start going backwards, therefore I am going to add a certain tracking object that will have a position so that the car can check to see if it is going on the right direction...
as you can see on the image, the circles on the track have a number, therefore when the car passes over one object it will target the next object. the car is not going to go towards the target, but it will use the target to determine if it is going on the right direction.
